Solar power Pokemon
Heliolisk, The Generator Pokmon. They flare their frills and generate energy. Just one Heliolisk can generate enough electrical energy to power a skyscraper. It promotes its muscle tissue with electricity, boosting the energy in its legs and enabling it to run 100 yards in five seconds.
Review
Heliolisk is an awesome Pokemon, but it isn't particularly good, about maybe not when compared with various other Electric kinds like Thundurus or Mega Manectric. Its movepool is good and has now okay stats though absolutely nothing about this is amazing. Exactly what it will have are several special abilities that may allow it to hit with devastating energy, regrettably, it doesn't have a lot that can monopolise thereon power
Positives
- among the best Electric kind movepools into the online game.
- Good Speed / Specialized Attack.
- Good abilities.
Downsides
- Terrible defenses
- Ghost resistance is lost on a thing that in fact loses to many typical spirits (Gengar, Aegislash etc).
- Its capabilities may cause hook hinderance once they're being utilised.
- Its non Electric-type movepool is utterly shocking
- It annoyingly doesn't always have bright day to set up its Solar Power capability
Abilities
Dried-out skin: HP is restored whenever hit by Water-type techniques or when it's raining and makes the Pokmon weak to Fire-type techniques and decreases HP during strong sunshine. Water immunity is pretty cool specifically as it allows it effortlessly change in on Rotom clean and Scalds.
Sand Veil: Raises the Pokmons evasion during a sandstorm by one level. Creates Heliolisk resistant to Sandstorm harm. A significant option but the one which is completely outclassed by Heliolisk's other two abilities.
Concealed Ability (Offered):
Solar Power: During sunshine, the Pokmons specialized combat raises to 1.5 times but HP decreases every change. The sheer power this ability funds is staggering. You get with about as much Unique Attack as Mega Mewtwo X.
Movesets
Beware of its frills!
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Grass Knot / Thunderbolt
Item Connected: Possibility Specs
Ability: Solar Energy
EVs and Nature:
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
With sunlight assistance Heliolisk can do some pretty savage harm to just about anything when you look at the game. Volt turn is extremely difficult to resist as well as the switching result both keeps your offensive momentum and stops solar powered energy harm. Focus Blast is unreliable but allows Heliolisk break Heatran, Kyurem, Tyranitar, as well as Blissey. HP Ice decimates Landorus, Gliscor, and Garchomp. The last slot can either run Grass Knot for coverage against Hippowdon and Gastrodon or Thunderbolt for even more power.
Is that rain or venom?
- Thunder / Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Hidden Energy [Ice]
- Grass Knot / Volt Switch
Item Attached: Life Orb
Capability: Dry Skin
EVs and Nature:
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
With Rain support Heliolisk may be decent. Thunder has actually reasonable energy, effortlessly wiping on frail Pokemon and taking a chunk out of something it hits simple. Whenever boosted by Rain Surf can break through most floor types effortlessly. HP Ice once again smashes Garchomp, Landorus, an such like, although Rain boosted Surf will do terrible injury to most ground types anyway. Grass Knot beats Hippowdon but Volt Switch has amazing offensive energy. Dried-out skin tends to make Heliolisk immune to water so it can certainly defeat Rotom clean and change in on Scalds.
Other Choices
Hyper Beam, Parabolic Charge... which is it?
While a dreadful move around in general Hyper Beam is Heliolisk's most readily useful typical STAB. It has a great deal power it can tear half the HP off a Blissey with solar powered energy + solution Specs.
Parabolic Charge is great if it had much more base power, but it is too weak.
Double & Triple Battle Options
Absolutely Nothing. This lizard is scarcely usable sufficient in singles.
Countering Heliolisk
Blissey and Chansey laugh off Heliolisk's weak assaults. Latias is quicker and does not care a great deal about HP Ice unless boosted by Solar Power. Kyurem, Hippowdon, Tyranitar, and Heatran all danger 2HKOs by a coverage move but could shrug off its STABs easily enough and simply OHKO straight back. Checking Heliolisk is much easier. With its bad defenses essentially and possibility Scarfer can overcome it while anything with 110 base speed or higher like Greninja or Gengar can complete the task. Beating Heliolisk isn't very hard. It can not do much harm beyond sun plus using the sunlight shining it generally doesn't last for particularly long.
