Before selecting the elements you must calculate something your load, how much time it'll operate etc.If any one know basic maths then It is simple to calculate.

1 .Decide exactly what appliances (light, fan, tv etc ) you wish to operate and just how long (hour).

2. Start to see the specification chart in your appliances for energy score.

3.Calculate the watt-hour which can be equal to product of energy rating of devices and time ( hr) of run.

Sample :

Allows you to wish to operate a 11W CFL for 5hour from solar power, then watt hour is equivalent to

Watt Hour = 11W x 5 hr = 55

4.Calculate the total watt-hour : Just like a CFL determine the watt hour for the devices and include them together.

CFL =11W x 5 hr = 55

Fan = 50 W x 3hr = 150

television = 80W x 2hr = 160

Complete Watt-hour = 55+150+160 = 365

Today the load calculation is over, the next thing is select the right components to match together with your load necessity.
